Love or Lust???
Are we loving with our souls or lusting with our flesh??? At one point in time I didn't know the difference. My degree of love was habitual. I thought because I had sex on the regular basis with a person, talk to them on the phone several times a day, in some situations even lived with the person... that I "loved" them. WRONG!!! There was no spiritual connections with these people or at least I hadn't discovered it. Yes I was agitated if someone was flirting with them. I was even mad if the didn't answered the phone when I called...yadda yadda yadda. But that's not love that is jealousy. Speak on it...

PREACH, AMANDA! I believe most of us, especially in our youth and immaturity, lust. That we haven't even scratched the surface of love, yet. In fact, I think most of us our emotionally dependent upon our partners, but because we can't define our feelings, we attach the label, love, to it. Emotionally dependent means I can't live without my partner, that whatever he/she does to hurt me, I'll cope with it. It means that my happiness is dependent upon my partner and when they don't answer the phone, or take me out, or give me attention, they've failed at their job of making me happy. We become possessive and lay the burden of self happiness on our partners lap. "No one can make you happy but you, and to expect otherwise is to create a dependency that disempowers you." -Ebonie Nicole Flynn 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 is a pretty good blueprint of how to love :-)
